Sunset on St. Catherine’s Down
This beautiful sunset image looks from St. Catherine’s Down towards Tennyson Down and The Needles on the western promontory of the Isle of Wight.
It was captured on the walk up to St. Catherine’s Oratory, the Pepperpot; here, I used live view to avoid having to look at the sun through the viewfinder, which may have done me some serious damage given how bright the light was at that time. The gorgeous streak of orange on the water, and the orange tones of sunset on the land mass really make this image, in my opinion.
Please see my gallery pages if you’d like to purchase any of these images (note that not all the images seen in my portfolios can necessarily be offered for sale, particularly portraits).
